Claire is a 500-hour RYT and completed her teacher trainings at Down Under School of Yoga and CorePower Yoga. In addition to teaching power vinyasa, Claire also loves teaching children’s yoga and completed her 95-hour children’s yoga teacher training at KidPowerment. In her class, she focuses on building the mind body connection through pranayama, clear alignment cues, and energetic music. As a trained musician, Claire always invites her students to find their own unique expressions by practicing self-acceptance and creativity. Her goal is to help students of all ages cultivate self-awareness on and beyond the mat while fostering a strong sense of community.
Rachel has been working with preschoolers since 2010. She majored in Human Services with a concentration in Child and Family Studies and Early Intervention at Northeastern University. She moved to San Francisco in 2013 and taught at one of the top 10 preschools in the country, Pacific Primary, for many years. She also completed a kids yoga teacher training there and uncovered her passion for mindful body movement and storytelling with young children. She moved back to the east coast in 2017 where she continued to teach preschool in Watertown, MA, and now works as the curriculum specialist at the nature-based Parker River Community Preschool in Rowley. Rachel lives in a tiny house on an organic farm in Newbury, MA with her partner John, 12 chickens, and lots of flowers, herbs and veggies. In her spare time she enjoys biking around Newbury, hiking in the White Mountains, making flower bouquets and playing piano. She is so excited for this very special week of camp, her 4th summer as a returning teacher to this program!
Lisa Joyce can’t wait to get creative under the sun this summer! She has been working with children for over a decade as a theatre educator, youth gymnastics/movement instructor, children’s party entertainer, camp counselor and director, nanny, and much, much more. It’s her joy and passion to help children develop confidence in themselves and what they do, inspire curiosity to try new things, and have fun and be silly! When she’s not playing pretend with children, she can be found playing pretend and performing in the theatre’s around Boston and beyond! She holds BFA in performance and entrepreneurship from Salem State University and is a Dedham, MA native. Grab your sunscreen and see you this summer!
Running since 2017, The magic of Yoga Arts Camp is in the collaborations that happen all week long! Some songs and yoga flows are taught, and some we create together as a group! Art projects, songs, dances, and yoga classes will be different every week, so feel free to sign up for just one session, or join us for them all!
